Oklahoma Heart Hospital

Oklahoma City, OK

Architect: WHR Architects

This 163,000 square foot, $98 million hospital specializing in cardiovascular disease treatment was developed by a group of hospitals, including Oklahoma Heart Hospital North, Mercy Health Center, Midwest Regional Medical Center and Norman Regional Health System. The 46-bed hospital was opened in January 2010 and serves south Oklahoma City and Eastern Oklahoma County.

The cast-in-place concrete structure was designed to withstand regional seismicity requirements as well as the hazards of progressive collapse.

CJG Engineers also provided structural engineering services for Oklahoma Heart Hospital - North campus, completed in 2002, and a 4-story bed tower addition completed in 2009. This project was developed using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
